Exception to these rules: The battering ram can destroy gates outside of scheduled siege times to allow for raiding, However destroying a gate outside of a scheduled siege time causes a severe negative impact on a player's alignment.

Below is displayed the damage type versus the armor type. There is a multifaceted algorithm that integrates this ratio, we wanted to share the damage ratios so that you could better understand how damage is calculated(partially), however we cannot show you the entirety of the damage algorithms as to avoid misuse. These damage ratios mostly come from warcraft 3, but we took their ratios a few steps further. We left them at similar values as to not re-invent the wheel. We may reveal the full algorithm at a future date.

The damage ratio within the table is used as a multiplyer in the algorithm. Examples:

Slashing vs light = 1

Slashing vs medium = 1.5

Pierce vs fortified = 0.35

Pierce vs unarmored = 1.5

Cloth: Wearing a full set of cloth adds 50 intelligence. Each piece of cloth decreases movement speed by 0.4%.

Leather: Wearing a full set of leather increase stamina regeneration rate by 2% and increases all health pools by 2.5%. Each piece of leather decreases movement speed by 0.6%.

Chainmail: Wearing a full set of chainmail increases all health pools by 5%. Each piece of chainmail decreases movement speed by 0.8%. Each piece of chainmail armor decreases ranged damage 4%.

Plate: Wearing a full set of plate increase all health pools by 10%. Each piece of plate decreases movement speed by 1.2%. Each piece of plate armor decreases ranged damage 6%.

The player loses the full set bonuses if the player is wearing any gear that makes it not a full set. Set bonuses are not applied to the player immediately and take 60 seconds to take effect. This is meant to prevent players from armor swapping to acquire set benefits immediately.
